Val Edson
Val has over twenty years of freelance management development experience, with a proven track record in consultancy and delivery. Her background as a senior HR manager with Marks and Spencer, combined with her consultancy and her role as Associate lecturer for Oxford Brookes Business School enables a strong business awareness from both an academic and a practitioner experience base. In addition to her first degree, she holds an MA in HR, a Cert HE, a Certificate in Management Consulting, and has been a member of the CIPD since 1987. Val runs her own teambuilding organisation running outdoor events for corporate clients. She is also a module leader and examiner for several distance learning degree programmes.
Val works on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Oxford Brookes University, is a core tutor on the placement programme, a member of the consultancy team, and is mentor for the Business for Starters programme.
